Cuckooz Curates: Super Sharp
Words by Bryony Rosier, Thursday 12 April 2018

Don’t know what’s on this weekend? We do… Cuckooz Curates is a weekly blog dedicated to highlighting our picks of the best events happening in East London. We’ve done the groundwork so you don’t have to.

Love fashion? Love music? This one’s for you…

Exploring the marriage of Italian designer brands and the UK underground rave culture, Super Sharp takes a colourful look at the brands which shaped an era.

Visitors are afforded a rare insider glimpse of the private collection of photographs donated by Saul Milton (othersiwe known as one half of British Drum and Bass duo Chase & Status), the exhibition explores a fascination with fashion synonymous with subculture.

Combining garments, testimonials and music, the audience is provided with an interactive experience which explores the reasons why high-end Italian labels were so integral to the culture of the time. So much so, they have come full circle and are re-appropriated to this day.

Exhibition continues until 21st April 2018.
