Cuckooz Curates: London on Ice
Words by Bea Mustocea, Thursday 23 November 2017

Don’t know what’s on this weekend? We do… Cuckooz Curates is a weekly blog dedicated to highlighting our picks of the best events happening in East London. We’ve done the groundwork so you don’t have to.

We know what you’re thinking – Christmas is about a month away and all the excitement has arrived maybe a bit too early. Well, with the overwhelming amount of celebration going on in London, we thought we’d start you off early by rounding up some lists of holiday themed events in the capital. The first thing on our minds is the entertainment of it all – all London ice rinks are now open and welcoming enthusiasts of all ages. For those looking to delve in some icy December fun, here are our top picks.

Skate at Somerset House

A household name for any Londoner – and for anyone who ever visited London at Christmas, the Somerset House x Fortnum and Mason recurring ice skating rink is one of the most picturesque skating experiences the UK can offer. On top of that, they’ve curated a series of events ranging from DJ-soundtracked disco nights to Fortnum Lodge’s exquisite tastes, pairing glasses of champagne with the ever-present mulled wine.

Skate at the Natural History Museum

The perfect end to a family day out, the Natural History Museum’s scenic rink is another well-know fixture on the list. From fairy lights to heritage buildings, the backdrop of your one-hour of skating will be an unforgettable memory for all those who partake in it. And exclusively for 2017, Hotel Chocolat joins forces with the Museum to provide their rich hot chocolates. It almost makes us consider going west.

Winterville

What do Sink the Pink and the London Soul Train have in common? Why, they’re both involved in curating the best winter fun in the form of Winterville. With an impressive line-up, Winterville is always, always worth the trip. So for those that want to shoot more birds with one stone.

And, to throw in another Christmas treat, all direct bookers on our website for bookings around the Christmas period will receive a complimentary Christmas tree in their apartments.  For more information call +44 (0)20 7481 8507
