Cuckooz Curates: Bank Holiday Weekend
Words by Bryony Rosier, Wednesday 31 December 1969

Don’t know what’s on this week? We do… Every other week we highlight the best your borough has to offer for a great few weeks ahead.

We’ve been grinding tirelessly through the wind and rain and now’s the time it all pays off… A month of Bank Holiday bliss is fast approaching and the whole of London is gearing up to indulge in some much needed hedonism. With that in mind, we’ve put together a fantastic schedule of events this Easter weekend to get you out and about in that GLORIOUS sunshine!

Rollervibe Bank Holiday Monday @ The Steelyard, Bank

Dig out those legwarmers and channel some Rolerdisco Realness this BHW at the Rollervibe disco in London’s coolest railway bar, Steelyard. There’ll be disco music, food provided by The Suya Factory, and all the retro games you can think of.

So Last Century Vintage Market @ The Mansion, Beckenham

Because no one loves a vintage market as much as us, we’ll be heading down to the ‘So Last Century’ market in Beckenham this weekend to get our retro fix. Expect to find everything from petticoats to pots and pans from the 1950s to the turn of the century, and all for reasonable prices!

Boogie Shoes Silent Disco Walking Tour @ Covent Garden

What better way to soak up the springtime sunshine and get to know your bearings than a silent disco tour of notting hill? Whack on the headphones provided and dance your way through the streets listening to the best disco tunes the 70s gave us.

Springfest @ Alexandra Palace

If you prefer your Bank Holidays a little less wholesome, head up to Ally Pally, where the entire venue will be transformed into a German Beer Hall for a night of drinking and debauchery. (The perfect way to bring in the weekend).
